AVI only sound files?

When I try to AVI files on Windows Media Player I get only sound and no picture. Instead of a display will play together with the audio. I have Media Player 11, btw. Please help.

Probably you are using Windows Media Player 11 on Windows XP, and you do not have the codec as Vista has its own native codecs. You should be, and video files, you only get no video if you have the codec installed on your system. Try this codec pack. http://www.cccp-project.net/ It's called Combined Community Codec Pack and it has most codecs Audio and video, including AVI files. During installation, select "No Player" if you just want the codecs and not the players agree that with the wolves. Try it and see if it works. Hope it helped. Cheers!
