Why do people keep their faith differently than others?

If the main purpose of religion to the unity of humanity has been presented. Especially when the Manifestations of God says that we put aside our own interests and views and support each other.

This is my personal opinion – I see religion as a coffee mug glass. One day, fell and broke into a thousand pieces. Each takes one or two pieces, some more, others less. Then put the pieces together. Where complete anything, and the cup, where a water leak, they found something else to fill the hole. Finally, everyone had a cup full. Some had more truth than others. This is why religions are different, some similar ideas and practices.
